Position Overview

The Foundation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assume the role of Communications Chair. As the Communications Chair, you will be responsible for overseeing all communication efforts to effectively engage members, promote club activities, and maintain a cohesive club identity.

Responsibilities

Communication Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure consistent and effective messaging across various channels.
Identify target audiences and tailor communication materials to meet their specific needs and interests.
Collaborate with other committee chairs and club staff to align communication efforts with overall club objectives.

Content Creation and Management:

Create compelling content for various communication channels, including newsletters, website updates, social media platforms, and email campaigns.
Coordinate with club committees and members to gather relevant information, stories, and updates for inclusion in club communications.
Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the club’s brand voice and style guidelines.

Social Media and Online Presence:

Manage the club’s social media accounts, posting engaging and relevant content to promote club activities, member achievements, and networking opportunities.
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to maximize engagement and reach.

Member Communications:

Coordinate the distribution of regular newsletters and email updates to keep members informed about upcoming events, club news, and relevant industry information.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date member contact lists and email databases.
Ensure that member communications are personalized, timely, and convey the value of club membership.

Branding and Visual Identity:

Uphold and promote the club’s brand guidelines across all communication materials and platforms.
Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics, templates, and promotional materials that align with the club’s brand identity.
Ensure consistent and cohesive visual representation of the club in all communication efforts.

Analytics and Reporting:

Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of club communications using metrics and analytics tools.
Provide regular reports on engagement levels, open rates, click-through rates, and other relevant data to inform future communication strategies.
Use insights gained to make data-driven decisions and optimize communication efforts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in communications, marketing, or related roles is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in crafting compelling content for various communication channels.
Familiarity with social media platforms and experience managing social media accounts.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple communication channels and deadlines.
Knowledge of communication and analytics tools, such as email marketing platforms and social media management software.
Creativity and an ability to think strategically to enhance the club’s communication efforts.
