Position Overview

The Foundation is seeking a dynamic and outgoing individual to serve as Membership Chair. As the Membership Chair, you will be responsible for attracting and retaining members, ensuring their satisfaction, and cultivating a strong sense of community within Foundation Club members.

Responsibilities

Membership Acquisition and Retention:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members to the club, targeting individuals who align with our club’s values and objectives.
  • Conduct outreach initiatives, such as networking events, promotional campaigns, and partnerships, to expand the club’s membership base.
  • Foster strong relationships with existing members, providing exceptional customer service, and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Guide new members through the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition into the club.
  • Coordinate orientations to familiarize new members with club facilities, services, and membership benefits.
  • Provide personalized attention to new members, offering assistance, and cultivating a welcoming atmosphere.

Member Engagement and Satisfaction:

  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities, special interest groups, and member-driven activities to promote connections and camaraderie.
  • Regularly seek feedback from members to assess their needs, interests, and satisfaction levels, and incorporate suggestions into club programming.

Membership Database and Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records, including contact information, payment details, and membership status.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure efficient processing of membership applications, renewals, and member communications.
  • Generate reports and analyze membership data to track trends, identify opportunities, and inform decision-making processes.

Club Promotion and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling membership materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Represent the club at industry events, community gatherings, and networking functions to raise awareness and attract potential members.
  • Leverage various communication channels, including social media, email newsletters, and website updates, to showcase the club’s offerings and membership benefits.

Committee Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other committee chairs and club staff to align membership initiatives with overall club objectives.
  • Participate in regular committee meetings, contribute to strategic planning discussions, and provide input on membership-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in membership management, customer service, or related roles is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with prospective and existing members.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage membership records, applications, and renewals effectively.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on providing exceptional member experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using membership management software and databases.
  • Familiarity with social and networking environments, understanding the needs and interests of professionals in these contexts.
  • Flexibility in working evenings and weekends to accommodate member events and activities.
